We are proud that Prince of Songkla University is top in Thailand according to the total number of articles published in journals in ‘Languages and Linguistics’ that rank in the top 10% in the Scopus database! What an achievement by our staff and students.
On 28 May, we had the honour of welcoming three globally recognized applied linguistics, Professor Angel Lin, Dr Prem Phyak and Dr Shakina Rajendram, who joined Dr Kristof Savski in a symposium about the meaning of translanguaging for English language education in Asia.
In March 2024, our faculty is hosting Professor Peter de Costa (Michigan State University, USA). Prof de Costa is a key name in contemporary applied linguistics, working on a range of issues including teacher and learner emotions, language policy, World Englishes, English-medium instruction, and others. He is currently also co-editor of the top-ranked journal TESOL Quarterly. We hope you will be able to join these events:

The Faculty of Liberal Arts offers two tuition fee waivers (100% scholarships at domestic rate) per year. Students who commit to publish their work in international journals are also eligible for 50% coverage of tuition fee cost (domestic rate). To apply for this scholarship, prepare (1) a motivation letter and (2) a resume and submit them with your application for MA study. The PSU Graduate School is offering up to 25 full scholarships for MA students (fees at domestic rate and monthly expenses). To apply for this scholarship, you must first be accepted in our MA programme and must then prepare a research proposal (approximately 10 pages).
