On 28 May, we had the honour of welcoming three globally recognized applied linguistics, Professor Angel Lin, Dr Prem Phyak and Dr Shakina Rajendram, who joined Dr Kristof Savski in a symposium about the meaning of translanguaging for English language education in Asia.

In March 2024, our faculty is hosting Professor Peter de Costa (Michigan State University, USA). Prof de Costa is a key name in contemporary applied linguistics, working on a range of issues including teacher and learner emotions, language policy, World Englishes, English-medium instruction, and others.
