Profile
Dr Kristof is applied sociolinguist and discourse analyst specializing in language policy and language education. His research examines language in global and local relations of power, particularly the inequalities that the cross-border mobility of knowledge and people (i.e. globalization) produces and perpetuates in different contexts. His recent focus has been on transnational regimes in language policy, especially those linked to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), as well as on teacher migration and inequality in contemporary ELT/TESOL.
